No Smoking Policy

All parts of the Canterbury building are "no smoking" areas. Please note that this policy is strictly enforced.

Locked Inn / Key Deposit

Canterbury Inn Apartments provide a safe, secure environment for apartment dwellers. We use a key card system for entry into the building and high security locks for the elevator, common area, and apartments. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to maintain a safe environment for yourself.

RENTAL RULES AND POLICIES

To keep our apartments safe and pleasant, we have established the following policies. These policies will be enforced; please do not apply for tenancy if they are unacceptable to you.

  1. Pets of any kind are not allowed.
  2. Smoking anywhere in the building is not allowed.
  3. Tenants are responsible for the actions and behavior of their guests. Any damage or disturbance caused by a guest will be the responsibility of the tenant.
  4. Guests may live with the tenant for up tp 14 consecutive days without written landlord approval. Guests are subject to the same rental rules and policies as tenants.
  5. Illegal activities are prohibited.
  6. Tenants agree to maintain a reasonable level of quiet in their apartments and particularly in the common areas. Tenants agree to share the common areas equitably. Tenants agree to abide by the landlord's decision if there is a problem regarding noise or the sharing of the common areas.
  7. Tenants agree not to threaten other people or property in the building.
  8. Tenants agree to keep their apartments clean and to clean up after themselves in all of the common areas (parlor, lobby, hallways, laundry room and storage area). Tenants agree to keep hallways and fire exits free and clear of all items including bikes.
  9. Tenants agree to maintain a high level of security in the building at all times. This includes but is not limited to the following: not giving the front door security code to anyone, not propping open any common area doors without being present the entire time the door is propped open, not using the back emergency exit unless there is an emergency (alarm will sound), and not duplicating or giving a key to anyone who is not a tenant of the building.
  10. Tenants agree to bag their garbage and to deposit it neatly in the receptacles provided.
  11. We don't require that you carry renter's insurance. You should know, however, that our insurance does not cover your personal belongings in case of fire, flood, or other peril.
